Peel the carrots, discard ends and peels, then slice into ½-inch thick diagonal rounds.

Place sliced carrots in the slow cooker. Pour melted butter over them, then sprinkle brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir with a rubber spatula or cooking spoon until carrots are evenly coated.

Cover with the slow cooker lid and cook on high for 1½ to 2 hours or on low for 2½ to 3 hours until carrots are tender and cooked to preference.

Optionally sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
