07 - 10.5 ounces canned low sodium French onion soup

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

01 - Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil, swirling to coat. Add beef stew meat in smaller pieces, season with ground black pepper, and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned but not cooked through. Remove from heat.
02 - Spray the bottom of a 5-6 quart slow cooker with non-stick spray. Evenly arrange sliced yellow onions in the bottom.
03 - Place seared beef evenly over the onions. Sprinkle Au Jus sauce mix and beef onion soup mix evenly over the beef. Pour canned French onion soup over all ingredients, then top with sliced unsalted butter.
