01 -
Preheat the air fryer to 315°F (157°C) for 5 minutes. Lightly grease a 6-inch round cake pan and set aside.
02 -
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until evenly combined. Set aside.
03 -
In a separate small bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
04 -
In a large bowl, whisk the egg, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light in color and fluffy.
05 -
Slowly pour the melted butter and chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir until incorporated. Gently fold in the dry ingredients just until no flour streaks remain, taking care not to overmix.
06 -
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place it in the preheated air fryer. Bake at 315°F (157°C) for 15 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick about two-thirds into the center; it should come out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
07 -
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing. Serve plain or topped with ice cream or whipped cream as desired.
